Stephanie’s Dog Training Policies and Procedures for students

You will need the following to start:

PROOF OF UPDATED VACCINATIONS. You can bring in a hard copy, show me a photo or email them to me. PUPPIES IN KINDERGARTEN need to at least have their first series of Distemper & parvo between 7-8 weeks! (If the first series of vaccines were administered prior to 7 weeks old, they will need a second set.) ALL OTHER CLASSES. It’s simple! They need to be up to date with ALL vaccines. (Lyme is suggested but not required.) Due to the high prevalence of canine respiratory diseases, kennel cough is a REQUIRED vaccine for all classes except Puppy Kindergarten since those dogs are too young.
6 FOOT LEASH. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES!
A SECURE COLLAR.
PLENTY OF TREATS.
TREAT BAG/ TOTE. If your pup is not food motivated, bring their FAVORITE TOY.
POOP BAGS

All classes, with the exception of drop in classes, MUST be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the start date of the class for which you are registered. Emails are sent 2 weeks prior to the start of the class. If you have not paid and you receive an email regarding not being paid, it is essential that you respond with an email to Stephanie459@aol.com(do not respond to the stephanie@stephanieduca.com email as that mailbox is unmonitored). If you do respond to that email, another unmonitored email will dispatch to tell you that you need to reply to the aol address. If I receive no response from you, your reservation for that slot may be cancelled. Please note: Not responding to the email is NOT a form of cancellation.

Refunds

Refunds are permitted only if you have cancelled one week prior to the start of the class (minus a 5% service fee)

Makeup Classes

This does not apply to drop in classes.

You are committing to these 6 particular class dates. Please make an effort to make those 6 dates. If something unavoidable comes up, I will allow one makeup class per session if there is an available slot. PLEASE do not ask me to repeat lessons from a previous class that you missed. This is not fair to students that have already received the information when they can be learning something new. If you are missing more than one class, I would suggest a private session if there is an available slot. Private sessions are $100 for the hour long session.

Remember, you scheduled these classes because they worked for your schedule. If your dog is absent due to sickness or being spayed/neutered, please leave your dog home and come to the class by yourself. You can get the information and implement the class at home. People are always glad they came. You will get the information that you have paid for. If you have any doubt whether your dog can attend, please reach out to me with questions. Unruly or unmanageable dogs

You must be able to manage your dog yourself around other leashed dogs. I cannot manage your dog for you in a group setting where others have paid for the same amount of attention from me. No refunds will be given if your dog is unmanageable around other leashed dogs. If you have any doubt, please contact me.
